An Apple II + a poem = music video art thing
They crowned the International Champion of Rock, Paper, Scissors over the weekend. Plus ya gotta love the spiffy logo work.
Yeah – so I know I’m a total game geek at this point, but it seems like all I’m listening to these days are soundtracks to video games. This morning I grabbed the soundtrack to Stubbs the Zombie. It’s all covers of 50’s tunes – but there’s a great Death Cab for Cutie cover of Earth Angel.
Oh. and I love Flock.
Started using a new web browser today. Flock version 0.05pre. It’s a social browser that integrates my blog, my flickr account and my del.icio.us account. I still haven’t figured out everything, and we’ll see how well this blog entry works since it took my awhile to figure out how to set up Flock with Moveable Type.
A rare night home alone. To play with new internet toys, return some emails that have been sitting around waiting to be returned. Watch last night’s episode of Lost. Watch tonight’s episode of Survivor. Play some SSX. Start my new book.
Rough week at work. The honeymoon is over. Looking forward to the weekend. Need to put together a presentation for a middle school I’m speaking to on monday about the joys of working in the video game industry.
Ok. here goes posting.
A pal of mine is writing for a new TV show that premieres on Friday. Set your Tivo’s for Hot Properties on Friday night at 9:30. He’s hilariously funny so I hope that you’ll give his new show a chance.
The only new show (on commercial TV) I’ve been watching regularly so far is Prison Break. Pretty good stuff. also glad to see Lost and Survivor back on. I’m also hooked on HBO’s Rome, and I was surprised about that. Thought I wouldn’t like it, but did… wonder how much of it is historically factual.
Games-wise, I’m playing lots of Burnout (PSP & XBox), Tiger Woods ‘06 (PS2) – don’t love the new contols, Kirby’s Canvas Curse (DS) and a little Sims2 Nightlife (PC). I’m not playing any of them obsessively, tho have spent a few solid hours playing Burnout on the XBox. It’s awesomely good. Love the multiplayer Burnout on the PSP with co-workers.
