They have a name. The name is spongmonkeys. There’s another article at rathergood.com, but it’s down right now.

“The next thing we know is there are injured or there are dead people, and we don’t want to have that. We don’t want to get to that extent.”
That’s right – the governor of California said this regarding the gay marriages in SF last week on Meet The Press. Is he trying to incite riots? He certainly wasn’t there – all I saw where happy people celebrating their lives.
ugh. hate him so.
Usually I’m the first to bash on Microsoft, but ocassionally I can learn something from them. Take this article, for instance.
Ok… back to work for me.
I can’t respond to work emails right now because I really don’t want to end up, y’know, fired. But I’m sitting here with all these thoughts.
The first bullet was fired today – I have some work to do to further my role at work. I want/need to have a future with this company.
And then after work today? I went to meet the Wedding Boy for drinks and dinner. I suggested a trendy and fabulous spot. Who knew that it was women’s night?? Not me – but I walked into a wall of lesbians. Completely caught off guard by dozens of women, I did what I’ve always done and sidled up to the bar. As I turned around and checked the door for Wedding Boy, I unexpectedly saw a woman I’ve been hanging out with a bit recently. Not someone that there is any romance with, but I still had that bit of surprise to see her. Her friends were really femme-y, pretty and straight looking. I didn’t even bother trying to meet them – just hung back and checked out the scene. It was kinda scary. Being out there again.
As soon as Wedding Boy showed up we headed out to a less crowded venue. Safer. Not sure why safer felt better, but it did. I’m not sure when I crossed the line of feeling scared in a room of lesbians. When the hell did that happen?
Now. At home. Safe. Hoping it won’t be so bad to be scared again.
San Francisco gay weddings continue. Now if I could only find a bride…
I loved London when I was there in 2001, and I miss the Underground.
And I still haven’t figured out how to get out of the Crimson Room.
I got to see three more of my couple friends get hitched today. (The pictures were posted by MJ) Truly amazing to see city hall filled with soggy gay couples with huge grins and bleary eyes. There were hundreds of people who stayed out overnight in the pouring rain to get into city hall today. And no one was even cranky.
wow.
