August 2003
we like the moon
this is just silly.
ahhhh, maine
I succeeded in eating lobster every day that I was in Maine. As well as blueberries – including some I picked myself.
What a great trip – I can see why people like Maine in the summer, and I can definitely understand why J & S are planning on living there. I always forget just how lush the east coast is – I always think California has plenty of green, but really the east coast has pretty much cornered the market on green.
Did some sea kayaking (which I’ve never done), swam in a fresh water quarry, watched the bonfire float out to sea (with the bride and groom swimming under the flames in just their birthday suits), danced to the banjo/mandolin band at the wedding, flew in a super small airplane that was powered by propellers and totally missed Blackout 2003 by getting out of Philly earlier in the day.
The wedding was wonderful and the reception was really, really fun. The rain held off until we were all under the tent and then came in torrents, but only for a moment. The bride’s brother didn’t cause any problems, and it was the most relaxed wedding I’ve ever seen.
Back to work with me… returned to well over 300 emails.
a quick post…
I’ve been a bad little blogger, I know. Work has been slammin’ and I’m getting ready to head outta town for a bit on a quick trip.
Love seeing pics of Ah-nold on the news smokin’ pot and with a naked girl on his shoulders. As if the rest of the country doesn’t make enough fun of California.
See y’all next week!
