lost entries

I hate when I write a whole entry and then something happens before I can save it out to the site.

That happened last night. I wrote this amazing entry. Probably the best I’ve ever written (ok, maybe not) and then my internet connection dropped and my browser crashed. dang. And of course, now I can’t remember what I wrote.

Stolen lines today about the war:

We should fire Tom Cruise Missiles at them
Then attack them with Brittany Spears…

Yeah, I know sorta funny, but hard to have a sense of humore about war in general.

There are helicopters flying over San Francisco tonight. I can hear them buzzing by every few minutes and on the drive home over the bridge I counted at least 5. I wonder if they are looking for terrorists or protesters. Or both.

I didn’t have even the slightest inclination to go to the protests today. I’m so glad to have a job, I can’t imagine skipping it to go protest a war in a city that is already filled with people who don’t want the war. Protesting in SF is too much preaching to the choir for me.

Anyhow, I gave a co-worker a ride home last night and he told me about his blog. Wonder if the old “i showed you mine, now you show me yours” is going to be applicable here. Do I want to share this with my co-workers? Harder to talk about them that way.

and finally….

this weekend it’s time for the bi-monthly (that’s the one that means every other month, right?) pub crawl. this time around it’s in Noe Valley, which thankfully is stumbling distance from my pad. woot!

should be a fun one, although Noe lacks bars by volume compared to some of the other ‘hoods we’ve crawled. The Peaks! yay!

neglected blog…

Yes, yes…. I know my blog has been completely and utterly neglected since I got a job. I’d love to sit here and tell you that’s going to change but I doubt that it will. I’m back in the thick of it, working 50-60 hours a week and basically loving (most of) it.

Not that I’m not out there having a life as well. The weather has been awesome and I’ve been trying to get out into the world on the weekends. I’ve been seeing friends, playing Settlers and Puerto Rico whenever I can and even have a couple little trips lined up for the next couple months. It’s looking like a Tahoe birthday weekend this year, with Palm Springs the following weekend.

And this year I get to go to E3, which is the big annual industry only gaming convention down in LA. Booth babes and video games. hoo-yah.

People have been re-discovering http://googlism.com again.

still th only entry for me is:

oddgirl is going to game three tomorrow
