try again. Sleepy…. sleepy. Up

try again.

Sleepy…. sleepy. Up at 5 am this morning to catch a plane home from Palm Springs. As the guy next to me on the plane said, I’m ‘Coachella’ed out’. Bjork, The Chemical Brothers and Paul Oakenfold. Sadly only 1 1/2 Belle and Sebastian songs. They were suppposed to play longer, dammit. Awesome, awesome weekend. gf said that Paul Oakenfold was ‘on’. I don’t think I’ve ever danced like that.

Next up – study…. study. lots to do.

It finally arrived! The new

It finally arrived! The new love of my life, the object of months of technolust: My new iPod got here yesterday! I left my hellish Social Science class early in order to pick it up from the mailbox place and made it just in time. I spent most of last night changing mp3 id tags so that Bjork wasn’t spelled 15 different ways in the listings. There is a new OS X version of my favorite mp3 search tool, Audiogalaxy, out there: http://homepage.mac.com/macdomeeu/dev/current/openag/.

Other fun links that have been passed my way today:
Yahoo’s list of Name Generators and Hi-Ho

Listening to a big mix of stuff today while I try and prep a speech for my classmate Anne. Right now it’s Green Day.

I’m entering whirlwind month. I

I’m entering whirlwind month. I have trips the next two weekends, two 10-page papers due in roughly three weeks (yes, on completely different topics – no cheating!), a couple speechs – one of which is not written but is due on wednesday and well, everything else. It’s awesome – i love my life! seriously.

so here’s a couple old pictures of me that most people have seen, but maybe you haven’t: pic 1  |  pic 2.

there. now you know what i look like. well, i don’t have the same hair as the first picture, but was thinking about that summer yesterday so thought i’d share.

Lots of fun in my

Lots of fun in my life these days. New friends, trips in the planning and implementations stages, too many invitations to go out in the evenings, school in interesting, homelife is stable. Still don’t need a job yet, but that looms.

Went to the movies last night with my new girlfriend and her 14 y.o. sister who doesn’t know about her sister and the gay thing. Except I think she does know. I think 14 y.o. kids are much smarter and savvy than when I was that age. And there is so much more gay stuff everywhere (rosie, ellen, melissa, etc.). I think I’m more nervous about it than gf is – about her sister figuring it out, that is.

Finally broke down and ordered the new 10 gig ipod today. It finally got to be too much for me to maintain that self-control. I’m sure it wasn’t the most sensible thing I’ve ever done, but I’m pretty stoked about it.

Listening to Depeche Mode – Exciter.

Looking forward to going to the Coachella festival at the end of the month.
